Family: Cactaceae
Genus: Trichocereus/Echinopsis
Origin: Native to high altitudes in northwestern South America from Ecuador to Argentina. DaFq is a long spine Pachanoi likely imported from Ecuador or Northern Peru to San Diego California but could have been started from seed in the states. The clone earned itself many names after I originally distributed it under the name DaFq, a separate mother stand was found and distributed by Riley under the name Nuestra Bonita, Our Beauty . We then found out it was the same clone and heard of yet another name in the mix, Cruelty, via Taj. All in all it is a beautiful San Diego Pachanoi.
Form/Color: DaFq forms thick stands with centimeter long twin spines growing very tall and fast, my most vigorous grower by a long shot. Able to handle freezing temperatures and hot summers better than PC, and growing up to six feet per year it is a truly underated specimen. Large white flowers in summer.
Water Requirements: Weekly deep drenching throughout most of the year and allow to fully dry out in between. If in a colder climate it's best to stop watering in winter to allow them to go dormant.
